Clinical Psychology in Kendal

Hi, I’m Rae.

I’m a Kendal based Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years’ experience supporting children, young people, adults and families.

I offer a thoughtful and supportive space to help you make sense of what you’re going through. I draw on a range of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and systemic therapy, to provide support that is tailored to your individual needs and circumstances.

I am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Feeling overwhelmed or unsure where to start?

At different points in life, many of us can feel stuck, lost or not quite like ourselves. This might be linked to difficult experiences, ongoing stress, changes in relationships, or challenges within the family.

Over time, trying to cope with these difficulties can feel exhausting. You might find yourself overthinking, feeling low or anxious, or struggling to understand why things feel the way they do.

How I Can Help

I offer a range of psychological support tailored to your individual needs. This includes:

  • Psychological assessment to help build a clear, shared understanding of your difficulties and what might be contributing to them (sometimes called a “formulation”)

  • Therapy and intervention, using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and systemic therapy, tailored to you

  • Support for children, young people and families, including work with parents and caregivers

  • Sessions in person or online, depending on what works best for you

  • Trauma and difficult past experiences
